We’re Advertise It.
We’re an independent, disability-owned, and BIPOC-owned strategy, marketing, and web studio helping organizations do better work online. That means clearer messaging, stronger websites, smarter marketing, and fewer systems held together with digital duct tape.
We work with organizations of all kinds, from nonprofits and professional service firms to growing businesses and eCommerce brands. Whatever you do, our goal is the same: to help you communicate clearly, build trust, and create digital experiences that work for real people.

Why We Exist
Marketing should help people, not wear them down.
There is already enough noise online.
We started Advertise It because we believe marketing can be clear, useful, and effective without relying on pressure, confusion, or empty promises.
Our job is to help organizations communicate clearly, earn trust, and make it easier for people to take the next step.

How We Work
We listen first. Then we fix what matters.
Every organization is different.
We start by understanding your goals, your audience, and what is getting in the way.
Then we make a practical plan and build what genuinely moves things forward.

An Evolving Focus
We’ve changed over the years. That’s a good thing.
Since 2013, we’ve learned that more marketing isn’t always the answer.
Today our work centers on strategy, accessible digital experiences, responsible technology, and building systems that organizations can actually sustain.
Our Values
These values shape what we recommend, what we build, and how we work with people.
Solve the Right Problem
More pages, more posts, more campaigns, and more software will not fix a problem no one has taken the time to understand. We ask questions, find the real issue, and focus the work where it matters.
People Come Before Platforms
Websites and marketing tools are supposed to make life easier for people. We think about the person looking for help, the client managing the system, and everyone who has to use what we build after launch.
Access by Design
Accessibility is not an extra feature or a final checklist. We build and write with different abilities, devices, and ways of processing information in mind. Because when more people can use and navigate what you create, everyone benefits.
Say What We Mean
We give honest answers, set realistic expectations, and speak up when something does not make sense. Sometimes the best recommendation is not the biggest project. We will tell you that, too.
Sustainable Progress
Quick wins are useful. Work that still makes sense a year from now is better. We create systems your team can understand, maintain, and continue improving without depending on us for every little change.

Industry matters, but attitude matters more. Our best clients care about the work they do, respect the people they serve, and want a partner who will think with them, not just take orders or sell them more stuff.

Frequently Asked Questions
These questions come up often as organizations explore working with Advertise It.
-
Who do you work with?
We work with organizations that care about the people on the other side of their marketing.
That often includes nonprofits, community organizations, ethical law firms, professional services, education programs, health and wellness organizations, and values-led businesses.
The label matters less than the way you approach your work.
-
How do you communicate with clients?
Mostly through email, shared project tools, and planned meetings when a real conversation is useful.
We keep communication organized, explain what is happening, and try very hard not to fill your calendar with meetings that could have been an email.
-
How involved do we need to be?
You will need to help us understand your organization and make important decisions. You will not need to manage every detail.
Some clients like to stay close to the work. Others give us room to lead and join at key milestones. We can work either way.
-
What makes Advertise It different from other agencies?
We are independent, experienced, direct, and deeply involved in the work.
You are not handed off to a revolving account team, sold a pile of disconnected services, or buried in reports no one understands.
We look at the whole picture, tell you what we see, and help fix what is actually getting in the way.
-
Do you only work with mission-driven organizations?
They are our main focus, but we do not require a particular certification, legal structure, or perfectly polished mission statement.
We care about whether your organization does worthwhile work, treats people well, and wants to market itself responsibly.
-
What does ethical marketing actually mean?
It means telling the truth, respecting privacy, making information accessible, setting realistic expectations, and not manufacturing panic to force someone into a decision.
Marketing can still be persuasive. It just does not have to be manipulative.
-
Do you use AI in your work?
Yes, when it is useful.
We use AI to support research, analysis, and parts of the creative process. We do not use it as a substitute for judgment, original thinking, or understanding your organization.
-
What is it like to work with you?
Clear, collaborative, and refreshingly normal.
We ask a lot of questions at the beginning, keep the work organized, and tell you when we need something from you.
We also understand that your team has actual jobs beyond managing a marketing project.
-
Do you work with small or lean teams?
All the time.
Many of our clients are stretched thin, wearing multiple hats, or trying to untangle years of disconnected decisions.
We build the process around the capacity you actually have, not the imaginary team we wish you had.
-
How do you measure success?
By deciding what success means before the work begins.
Depending on the project, that may include better leads, more donations, higher enrollment, improved search visibility, stronger engagement, easier website management, or fewer people getting confused and leaving.
We care about numbers. We just want them to mean something.
-
How do we know if we’re a good fit?
Start with a conversation.
Tell us what is happening, what you are trying to accomplish, and where things feel stuck. We will ask questions and give you an honest read.
Sometimes that leads to a project. Sometimes it leads to a recommendation, a referral, or a polite no. All of those are better than forcing the wrong fit.
