Search has changed. Your SEO program should, too.

Google isn’t the only place people search anymore. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other answer engines are changing how people discover organizations online.

Modern SEO isn’t about chasing rankings. It’s about helping the right people find you, wherever they search.

Where most SEO retainers fall short

Many SEO agencies are still using the same playbook they relied on five years ago: monthly reports, ranking charts, and a few blog posts. Search has changed. Success today requires better content, stronger websites, structured data, and a strategy that works across Google, AI search, and whatever comes next.

01

SEO Audits & Diagnostic Work

Before we recommend anything, we figure out what's actually holding your website back. That might be technical issues, weak content, confusing site structure, slow performance, or opportunities your competitors are already taking advantage of.

You leave with a prioritized roadmap that tells you exactly what matters, what doesn't, and where your investment will have the biggest impact.

02

Keyword Intelligence & Topic Strategy

Good SEO starts with understanding how your audience actually searches. We identify the questions they're asking, the language they use, and the opportunities your competitors are missing.

Then we turn those insights into a practical content strategy your team can actually execute.

03

Content Systems & Editorial Architecture

Great content isn't created one blog post at a time. We build systems that help your team consistently publish useful, trustworthy content that search engines, AI platforms, and real people all value.

04

AI Search Optimization & Answer Engine Visibility

More people are getting answers from ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews, Perplexity, and other AI tools before they ever visit a website. We help position your organization so those systems understand, trust, and reference your content.

05

Analytics & Reporting Infrastructure

Most SEO reporting is theatrical.

Ranking screenshots and traffic charts only tell part of the story. We build reporting that connects search performance to the outcomes you actually care about, like qualified leads, donations, sales, inquiries, and other meaningful conversions.

You'll know what's working, what isn't, and where to focus next.

How we work

A diagnostic-first SEO program, not a templated retainer.

Every organization starts somewhere different. That's why we don't force every client into the same monthly SEO package. We diagnose the problem first, then build the strategy around what you actually need.

1.

Diagnostic

We audit the technical foundation, content footprint, competitive positioning, and AI search visibility of your current site. The output is a prioritized roadmap that names what's actually limiting organic performance and what the fix sequence should be.

2.

Strategy & Scope

We translate the diagnostic into a scoped engagement: which disciplines you need, in what order, at what depth. Some organizations need content systems first; others need technical remediation; others need AI search positioning before anything else. The scope reflects the diagnosis, not a template.

3.

Implementation

We ship the work. Technical fixes deployed and verified, content produced against briefs, schema implementations validated, analytics infrastructure stood up. Implementation happens in defined phases with cadence agreed in scoping.

4.

Measurement & Iteration

Quarterly reviews against the metrics that matter (qualified organic traffic, citation visibility, conversion attribution, keyword movement weighted by commercial value), with adjustments based on what the data actually shows. SEO programs that don't iterate against real performance data don't compound.

Frequently asked

The questions sophisticated buyers ask before committing to an SEO program. If your question isn't here, ask in the contact form.

  • Our current SEO retainer feels like it's coasting. How do we know if we should switch?

Three signs the current program isn’t working strategically: keyword rankings are stable but qualified organic traffic is flat or declining; the deliverable cadence is consistent (monthly reports, blog posts) but you can’t articulate what the strategic plan is or what gap is being closed; and you can’t answer “what’s our AI search visibility look like” because nobody’s measuring it. Any one of those is a soft signal. All three together usually means the retainer is operating as a content production service with SEO branding.

  • How long before we see results?

Some technical improvements can make a difference within a few weeks. Building authority through content usually takes months. SEO is one of the few marketing investments that becomes more valuable over time instead of disappearing the moment you stop paying for ads.

  • How is your approach different from larger SEO agencies?

    Three operational differences.

First, the people building your strategy are the people executing it. You’ll work directly with the people doing the work.

Second, we anchor pricing transparently and won’t take retainers we don’t think will produce strategic outcomes.

Third, AI search optimization is integrated into the core program rather than sold as a separate “innovation” upcharge. Most large agencies are still treating AI search as an experimental add-on; we treat it as core.

  • We're a nonprofit / mission-driven organization. Does that change anything?

The strategic work is the same. Search engines don’t rank nonprofits more leniently or more strictly. What does change is how we scope: nonprofits often have constrained internal capacity for content production, so we often build content systems that incorporate AI-assisted production with editorial oversight to lower the per-piece cost. We also factor in Google Ad Grants strategy alongside organic SEO when relevant, since paid and organic compound when run together.

  • What if our website has bigger problems than SEO can fix on its own?

SEO diagnostic work surfaces structural problems regularly: site architecture that’s hostile to crawlers, page load performance that suppresses rankings regardless of content quality, content management systems that make scaled content production impractical, redirect chains from prior migrations that haven’t been cleaned up. When the diagnostic surfaces issues that need development work to fix, we’ll name them and price the development work transparently or coordinate with your existing developer. We don’t try to do SEO retainer work around problems that need to be fixed at the build layer.

  • Can you guarantee rankings?

No, and any agency that does is either using black-hat tactics that will hurt you later or making promises in low-competition territory where rankings are mostly automatic. What we commit to: strategic engagement, transparent reporting on the metrics that actually correlate with business outcomes, and honest assessment of when the program isn’t working. If a retainer isn’t producing the outcomes the diagnostic predicted, we say so and adjust scope rather than letting the retainer coast.

  • What does this typically cost?

We focus on organizations that are ready to invest in long-term SEO strategy rather than one-off tactics. If your goals require a smaller engagement, we’re happy to recommend a project that makes sense instead of pushing you into a retainer.

Let's help the right people find you.

Search keeps changing. Your strategy should too. Whether you're rebuilding from the ground up or improving an existing program, we'd love to help.
